>TurboGears is going the other way, from tg-admin to paster. Actually tg-admin was a thin wrapper over paster, and we just decided the wrapper wasn't worth it.
I know Jorge Vargas was thinking along some of the same lines as Ben, and I'd definitely support a project like that. I do think the right thing to do is to rely directly on some command line tool package, and not try to wrap it in something TG specific any more, but if 1) paster got some more developers and grew the new features we're taliking about or 2) somebody wrote something new that did everything we need from paster and the things Ben/Jorge were talking about I think that would be great for TurboGears/Pylons. I'm sure Ian would be more than willing to take patches, so it's certainly possible to grow paster, but I'll leave it up to the people willing to do the work as to what's easiest. But I'd like to see a proof of concept package, and a couple of active developers before I'm 100% ready to commit to a new way of doing things. --Mark Ramm --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
