I use Tinyerp (4.0.3 atm) regularly and I have also seen their new TG
based web-interface. The Tiny Server is fully web-service exposed and
the client (GTK) uses the same webservice as the TG webinterface....

I like tiny for accounting & invoicing. I don't know well the CRM part
of it.

I tried ERP5 a year or two back and I just quit trying because there was
too much dependencies and problems. I don't know what is their status
now, but I definitely prefer Tiny.

My reasons ?
- Tiny uses an SQL database (Postgresql) where ERP5 uses zodb (may have
changed or may be possible to use a db back-end but it was not deployed
like this in the demo I used)

- Tiny has a real thick-client GUI (GTK) that works on any platform were
you can find python+pygtk. Whereas ERP5 only proposes a web interface
that I did not find compelling (may also have changed). I know this is a
source of debate and I don't want to feed a troll, but having the choice
between the two of them will make you more confortable when you will
have to answer questions in a pre-sales presentation.

- Tiny uses TG for its web-interface :) :) whereas ERP5 uses Zope (zope2
last time I looked). I like Zope; it is a wonderful application server,
but the cheer number of small packages that were nearly impossible to
find worked against ERP5 at the time I tried. The only way I could have
a real ERP-5 running was by using the demo live-CD. It may have changed
but last time I looked, the documentation and level of support was very
low on ERP-5, as if the guys preferred to do consulting so much that
they did not want to share knowledge on how to use the product.

I could find many other reasons... the last thing I'll say is that after
a good hesitation time I choose Tiny for my ERP. And I am running my
company's invoicing and accounting with the help of TinyErp.

Regards,
Florent Aide.

PS: I do not have shares in Tiny sprl nor do I get money from them :)
Just to make things clear.
