The app won't block because the mail is inserted in a queue and worker threads will process one mail after another. But TurboMail has some problems when it comes to exception handling. I wrote several patches and submitted them in the TurboMail bug tracker. Unfortunately, the trac is invaded by spammers and Matthew Bevan did not respond to any of my mails in the last 4 months - I guess he is quite busy... But feel free asking smart questions regarding TurboMail, I think I'm able to answer most of them.
