For my application I am looking for Icons that are released under a "useful" license. I am currently using CrystalSVG[1] as this is released under the LGPL license. Unfortunately I am not particularly happy with the mime-type icons. And I use those on several places.
The ones from the "Gorilla" theme from gnome are much better. However that is released under GPL terms. Which is a tad too restrictive for my needs. Any idea where else I can look for icons than kde-look.org? I tried deviantart, but finding what you need there is horrible. The biggest trouble is actually finding LGPL (or more liberal) icon-sets. Most of them either do not state a license at all or are GPL'ed.
