Iian!!!! Thanks :-) Guess I glossed right over those version numbers
in the MochiKit docs I printed out and read thru last night ... I
"downloaded" the development version and it works great.

To tell other people like me what I did:
1. Went to Mochikit's website at http://mochikit.com/download.html
2. Since I am a windows user on my test box, I followed the link to
3. I picked the version to us eon my PC : http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/tortoisesvn/TortoiseSVN-1.4.5.10425-win32-svn-1.4.5.msi?download
Note: I downloaded it and had to do a reboot (yes I know..switch to
Ubuntu :-) to get it working.
4. Found a quickly page that tells me what to do to get the Mochikit
folders and files downloaded: http://tortoisesvn.net/easy_to_use
Basically you navigate with your windows explorer (not IE or FF), and
add a new folder someplace. Then right click... you will see the SVN
checkout...
5. There are a lot of folders downloaded, but I ended up copying and
pasting the downloaded Mochikit folder and pasting that folder and all
its files into my ..static/javascript/ folder under my TG projects
tree.
6. In my example page listed at the top of my thread I changed the
MochiKit line with:
<script type="text/javascript" src="/static/javascript/MochiKit/
MochiKit.js"></script>
7. Page and effects now work great!!!!!

Now that it works, I will try to figure out the correct place to put
these new downloaded files... I assume in the TG program folders some
where...

Thanks again Iain. Things like this make learning a new language/
system/framework difficult.
