I use Komodo for editing. It is actually a full IDE, similar to Visual Studio, but I don't use the other features much. The edit-only version (no integrated debugger) is free; you can download it here: http://www.activestate.com/Products/komodo_edit/
Code completion is not perfect but works well enough to be a plus.
