My worry, as expressed when I initially asked about the future of TG a
couple of weeks ago, is that since almost all the useful answers I get
on this group come from TG developers or developers of the various
components, if I end up using the 'old' path, I will get less support
as the TG community moves on to the newer and cooler stuff. That's
exactly what happened between 0.8 and 0.9 - you'd ask how to do
something, and the answer tended to be along the lines of "uhh, dunno,
we use something completely different that's only on the trunk. Try
upgrading?" or words to that effect.

I'm not the kind of person who has a massive need to have the latest
and greatest libraries, but in a situation such as this where I
unfortunately have to rely on the community to get anything done, I am
quite wary about digging a hole for myself where I end up using
something that nobody else does.

I think what I might just do is strip out Identity and go with Elixir,
since that removes one potential point of failure and lets me keep the
sane model interface. But that still leaves one of my previous
questions unanswered: are there parts of Turbogears (eg. scripts,
tools, widgets, admin interfaces, whatever) that are simply not going
to work with Elixir? I basically want the smoothest ride possible that
is not going to leave me behind when I'm still posting here in 6
months, basically.
