I think it's definitely better now, and there a lots more people on
the list, lots more people with experience in tg1 and lots less kinks
to work out of the 1.0 system.  I think TurboGears 1.0 with its
current defaults is a great way to develop web applications, and we
plan to continue to support it for a long time.

If you're willing to work on the edge, we're all willing to help.   If
you just want to get things done, and you care about good
documentation more than having shiny new stuff, TG 1.0 with it's
defaults is still the released version, and there are hundreds,
perhaps thousands of people using it (unlike the .8 days when we were
a much smaller, much less mature, community.
