Yes, I apologise for claiming it wasn't there. I just get very frustrated trying to find anything on that main page and sometimes make mistakes, thinking something isn't there when in fact it is, just a bit hidden or in a different area. if you can't rely on the headings to group things sensibly, then you may as well not have them at all. > Therefore, the learn and recipes section are over-represented in > the table of contents, while the links in the reference, which may be > even more important, are easily missed. I think there is just way too much on that documentation front page, and much of the good information is scattered around. 90% of the stuff that is in the Recipes section should really be rolled into the Reference section. The rest should probably be pushed out to a separate Recipes page. By 'Recipe' I usually think of something like the Python Cookbook, with short snippets to perform quite specific tasks. I don't expect basic guides like 'Identity Management' or 'Overview of SQLObject' to be buried down there. They're fundamental parts of Turbogears and should surely form part of the Reference. -- Ben Sizer --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears" group.
