Are you using TG widgets or Toscawidgets?

Take a look at http://dbsprockets.googlecode.com

you can use the dbsprockets.primitives.makeForm(model,
action='myaction', limitFields=['field_a', 'field_b', 'field_c']) to
set the order of the fields.
