Not sure what you mean by "a lot of dependencies on external project"
This is directly from the setup.py:
install_requires=['sqlalchemy>=0.4',
'twForms',
'Genshi>=0.4',
],
so, twForms is TG project, sqlalchemy and Genshi are both supported.
