I just started to dig into a seemingly related issue that came up. Recently, I upgraded an app to 1.0.4.3 and when I attempt to login via IE7, the identity.current.user object is not instantiated leading to errors( and this is not an issue with turbogears 1.0.3.2). This makes me think that something has changed with the session handling.
