Hi, We are commissioning the development of a database-driven web application written in Python with Turbogears or Pylons -- or Ruby on Rails. The application is to keep track of which instructors teach which courses at York University (Toronto, Canada), along with costs and related information.
We expect the project to last 3-6 months, with extensions likely, and with requirements gathering starting in July. We are open to contracting with development companies or experienced sole proprietors. If you're interested, please retrieve and respond to the RFP from www.biddingo.com; the RFP # is P09-040 and its closing date is July 11, 2008. It has been designed to be relatively easy to reply to; for example, we are not looking for a fixed price. Be warned that there's a charge to download the document (around $40 unless you subscribe on a monthly or annual basis); use of this service is required by our institution. If you already subscribe to www.merx.com, you can download from it instead. If you have questions before you download the RFP, please contact me by e-mail.
