> Could you guys comment on the numbers? > Lucas There has not been much optimization on the TG2 setup yet, but it's pretty clear that the paste httpserver isn't the fastest it could be, and it's it's likely that there are some differences in the two welcome page templates, which might make the TG2 example slightly slower to render.
Also, it looks like something went into pylons which slowed things down between beta 2 and beta 4, and IIRC Ben Bangert has found and corrected that problem, but it is likely not present in the latest pylons beta. Beyond that, there was a very extensive set of TG2 benchmarks done a while back which showed that TG2 was performing pretty well when compared with TG1, and the major difference between TG2 and raw Pylons was because of gensh.
