Hi all, I am really happy to announce the immediate availability of TurboGears 1.1b1 codenamed Plissken.
This release has been uploaded only on our server pages for the moment and I'll certainly release beta2 tomorrow. The reason is that working with an nice guy on IRC (hello mini-man) we already found a small glitch in the support for sqlite with sqlobject. Just a missing "/" in the config file :p This release brings us some big changes: - Genshi is now the default templating engine when quickstarting an application - SQLAlchemy is now the default ORM - We introduced a framework agnostic test system that will force you to upgrade your unit tests by following this procedure: http://docs.turbogears.org/1.1/TestMigration - Full support for multiple databases when using SA as been added. The 1.1 branch is now the active branch and 1.0 should be considered a bugfix only branch were we'll only issue security patches but no new features. Happy beta testing and don't forget: send us your feed back so that we can improve and get a stable 1.1 Plissken release out of the doors asap.
