hi chris,

my code is totally different than the website concept. i'm writing modules of
model/controllers/templates/widgets, each resembling a tg application, but in
fact only collecting the code to paste it will not be easy, and the
example won't
be clear.

however, some of my code fragments consist of quite reusable chunks, which i'd
like to share (but yet don't know how).

anyway, i've smelt the problem when setting it out for you.
request.app_root has
been miscalculated indeed, but the fault was mine: a module (see
above) controller
was inheriting from RootController. i found this problem while
browsing and printing
out states from controllers.py.

i wish to thank you again for sharing not only your vast knowledge,
but also your
precious time to help me find the way out. i appreciate that even more
than if you
did the debugging on my code and showed me exactly what the problem is.

best regards,
alex
