Or use mod_wsgi daemon mode and delegate TG application to run in
since mod_wsgi daemon mode process.

As to permissions issues etc, ensure you read:

As well as permissions problem, could also relate to fact that under
Apache/mod_wsgi, your user environment variable setup is not used.
