how would you deploy a growing tg2 app?

What's a "growing tg2 app"?

I guess an app that is constantly changing so the OP wants a
deployment method that facilitates frequent code updates painlessly.
right

We deploy using deployboy, our homegrown
svn-checkout-virtualenv-setup-application that is triggered over
XMLRPC and
a dedicated admin-webfrontend.
sounds great, but do you use mod_wsgi, mod_rewrite, fastcgi, other idea?

mod_wsgi.
