I'm not sure which of all the various TG versions I should use for new app development beginning next week? We are a very small IT group in a big healthcare agency, I'm the only experienced Python programmer. I've done some minor apps with TG 1.0.8 which meets our needs, however due to unrelated issues those never got deployed, so upgrading to 2.x would not be a big deal. I've only used SqlObject because that was sufficient, but it seems SqlAlchemy has more momentum and more extensive docs. For sophisticated user interfaces, I use Flex and have TG return either JSON or XML. I've now got to build a simple one page form that will reside between two systems to allow users to override the data transfer. I don't have any experience with genshi and not enough with kid to matter. Whatever I choose, we'll be locked into it for several years, during which our IT infrastructure will be going through major changes. Our legacy system will be getting phased out and I'll need something that can easily replace a lot of ancient cgi code written in basic (ugh).
