I suffered from the spamassassin-bug, so this is late & unquoted.
The answer is: no, if you go through webtest, you can't.
But why don't you instantiate your controller & just invoke the method?
I never tried that, but presume it's working. Give it a shot & let us
know what happens.
If there are issues, I suggest putting the logic into some explicit
function or method you test. Better design might ensue through that as
an added benefit.
