That has already been patched on January 15 in the TG 2.X Core repository. So it's not necessary any more to put it in the config.
You can put it there, but XHTML should be lowercase since that's how it is documented in Genshi, and you should move it to a more appropriate location in the config file, e.g. directly before or after the templating.mako settings.
