What I was worried about last week is happening: The transition to the new
system at work is sucking down my normally available time. I expect to get
less done this week, which also means I'm going to miss my major goal of
getting us off WebFaction by EOD Mar 15. I'll apologize in advance for this,
as I don't think I can avoid it. I'm setting my new goal as Mar 31 to be
completely off. That will allow a good 10 days after the switchover at work
to get back and complete the switchover here.

*What Got Done?*

   - DNS has been transferred over to me. This involved changing registrars
and DNS servers. As a result of this change, and me being too literal
reading what had been set up, we had an outage on Friday where the site was
rendered inaccessible. I'm going to be a lot more careful about what I put
   in in future.
   - http://beta.turbogears.org:8080/ is up. We've got some work to do with
it for cleanup, and getting things set up on the right, getting the GSoC
ideas page set up, etc. However, this is the first glimpse at what will
become the new site. Assuming we can complete all tasks by EOD Mar 31, Apr 1
will see this as the front page (with more content, of course). In pretty
short order (read: within the next day or two) the URL will change to
   http://beta.turbogears.org/
   - The Google Summer of Code mentoring application has been submitted. Now
we wait for the results, to see if we've been accepted. The ideas page is
   visible at http://www.turbogears.org/gsoc2011.html
   - The new SF tracker for Tg2 has begun getting data. Only a few tickets,
but it's a start. View at
https://sourceforge.net/p/turbogears2/tickets/and provide feedback. Is
the format decent? Are things missing? Please
provide feedback, it will help us to make sure we have things correct for us
   all going forward.
   - We've gotten traffic on the ML picked up a bit, too. We're not back up
to the levels we enjoyed a few years ago, but we're improving. I think we're
seeing more questions getting answered, too. I hope I'm helping out the
   people there who need it.

*Where Are We Now?*
We've made good progress. Christoph and Florent have done quite a bit with
getting the new server prepared. I can't thank them enough for the work
they've done. While we're not totally ready to stop abusing WebFaction,
we're close. Apr 1 is a realistic due date.

*What Will Get Done This Week?*
By me? Not nearly as much as I'd like. I'll be happy if I simply manage to
keep up with the ML. I'll keep answering questions as much and as best I
can. If I get any extra time, I'll devote it to migrating tickets from Trac
to SF.

I'm sorry there's not much more to say. And I think that next week's is
going to be even shorter.
