I'm a former WebObjects developer (also php, perl) currently studying
python (reading 'The Definitive Guide to Jython').

Just starting to explore the webdev packages available for Python. I'm
posting here because I was impressed with the TurboGears tutorial
webcast.

I'm leaning toward Jython dev in eclipse. My db of choice is
PostgreSQL. Looking for html templates that are as easy to use as php.

I understand that TG is not entirely compatible with Jython, but that
there are some workarounds.

The book mentions the 'Hibernate' ORM, which I'm also leaning towards.
But, the only thing I'm really married to at this point is PgSQL as
backend, and some flavor of Python.

Right now I'm developing a little scheduling app for my own biz, where
clients can request event times on EC2 servers.

So, given the above preferences, any advice on how to proceed would be
appreciated.

TIA
