Open registration: I don't know. Not until we get a proper (and supported) user management extension done. That's still a ways off before I'm going to be trying to tackle it, I know that.
Publishing the pages repository: On our server, we have a local repository for tgext.pages (and the site itself). I need to get both of those repositories published. I'm looking at how to do so on sf.net cleanly, so it will all make better sense when it gets viewed. Just taking me longer than I wanted to make it look right.
