Around an year ago I released the little eCommerce project I was talking about previously in this thread. I don't have much time to bring it forward, but was fairly complete and supported pluggable interface, if anyone is interested in using it I'm glad to hear any feedback.
http://pypi.python.org/pypi/stroller I'm not sure it works with 2.2, last time I had to use it was on 2.1, but should be fairly easy to migrate it in case.
