I wanted to report that we have been able to move a fairly large TG 2.1.5
( http://www.bioimage.ucsb.edu/bisque) application to 2.3.1 with just few
issues.
We mostly had to replace
from pylons.XXX import YYY
to
from tg.XXX import YYY
which is really NICE!
A few things did pop up..
1. During our bootstrap process we needed to initialize the tg.session
and tg.request object..
StackObjectProxy seems to be now dependent on a "context" object that
I could not find a valid definition of.
2. tg.url takes a params = dict (a=1, b=2) instead of tg.url(a=1, b=1)
3. We ended up using pylons functions i.e.
pylons.controllers.util.forward in several places.. As I was about to
recode
this I found tg.controllers.util.use_wsgi_app which accomplishes
that same thing
4. Using repose.who.plugin.friendlyform is replaced
by tg.configuration.auth.fastform:FastFormPlugin
We utilize a who.ini configuration.
