Hi,

I run the UltraVNC server on my Win10 machine and access it by using either the TurboVNC or the RealVNC client. On the above Win10 machine I use Cygwin for some few applications. I have a German keyboard.

When sitting in front of my PC I can enter, in a Cygwin Terminal / Xterminal, all special characters such as @,|,~,`,´ä,ö,ü etc. Note that first 5 ones need a combination of <AltGr with a letter, e.g. '@' is generated by pushing <AltGr and q together.

*However,* when accessing the machine via VNC the characters '@,|,~,´,` are not being displayed in the Cygwin terminal. Issuing the command 'ascii' shows a table with all these characters and their corresponding codes!

Is there any way of overcoming this problem?

Thanks, Dieter
