This is a well-known issue with the nVidia proprietary drivers. Add
Option "HardDPMS" "false"
to either the Device or Screen section in xorg.conf and restart the
display manager.

Hello,
I experience an odd interaction between the host login screen manager
screensaver, (gdm), and vglrun.
with the host screen blank because screensaver(which I can see using a
pikvm)
glxspheres performance with vglrun drops to
0.999759 frames/sec - 1.115731 Mpixels/se
and with just the cpu
18.193136 frames/sec - 20.303539 Mpixels/sec
and if i wiggle the mouse a bit to wake the screensaver:
108.501213 frames/sec - 121.087353 Mpixels/sec
The same can be experienced in blender, when the gdm login screen is
blank, blender is really choppy, and when its not in screen saver, but
shows the login screen, blender is snappy.
Can something be done about this? I'm running Fedora 36.

/Joakim/
