Simon Laws commented on TUSCANY-345: ------------------------------------ I note that there are build instructions for developers on the web site under /development/java projects This is similar to (and I believe has been derived from) the wiki version at http://wiki.apache.org/ws/Tuscany/GetTuscany/WinXP but omits the screen shots wich is a shame. It also refers to the linux wiki version at http://wiki.apache.org/ws/Tuscany/GetTuscany/Linux. I assume at some point the linux instructions will be migrated to the web site. Can we keep the screen shots? The wiki versions of the instructions make good user build instructions but obviously need to be edited down to match the release package and have things like svn instructions removed. In this case the screen shots are particularly useful. > Consolidate and check consistency of build and run instructions > --------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: TUSCANY-345 > URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TUSCANY-345 > Project: Tuscany > Type: Improvement > Components: Website, Java SCA Samples, Java BigBank Scenario > Versions: Java-M1 > Environment: Fedora Core 5 > Reporter: Simon Laws > Assignee: haleh mahbod > Fix For: Java-M1 > > There are several different sets of build instructions, e, g, > Website - SCA Installation instructions > sampleSetup.htm > java/BUILDING.txt, > testing/tomcat/readme > new wiki "Get Tuscany" pages. > Personally I prefer the format of the last one for users. Should also remove > the svn stuff for the binary release though. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - If you think it was sent incorrectly contact one of the administrators: http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Administrators.jspa - For more information on JIRA, see: http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira
