Hi, Rania.

Thank you for pointing it out. I created this new document from the one for M1 and forgot to remove the disclaimer.

I'm planning to incorporate Jim and Jeremy's presentation material into this document and evolve it as the Tuscany Architecture Guide. Contributions and comments are very welcome.

Thanks,
Raymond

Hi guys,

Thanks for this document :)

You might want to remove the disclaimer at the end, at least the part that says it reflects the M1 drop of the code. Unless I'm missing something: this doc looks newer because M1 has JavaAtomicComponentContext and not JavaAtomicComponent ...

On a side note, to make this kind of doc more useable it might be a good idea to have an M1 version, and also a for changes since. Working versions could then be versioned/stabilized with subsequent distributions. Would also help people migrate their code as they develop for it.

thanks again!
Rania

Hi, Jim.

The UML diagrams on the wiki page (http://wiki.apache.org/ws/ Tuscany/TuscanyJava/SandboxCore) are now updated to reflect your changes.

Thanks,
Raymond

Thanks Raymond for taking this on. I have made to refactors today so could you regenerate (I hope you didn't have to do the model by hand)? The two basic changes I did are:

1. Rename ScopeContext to ScopeContainer since it "contains component implementation instances" 2. Internalized InstanceWrapper (tracks implementation instance lifecycle) to the scope container implementations. This means that component type extensions will be able to implement one less class. As part of this refactor, I also renamed PojoImplementationWrapper to ImplementationWrapperImpl since it is generic and not specific to POJOs.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi,

I uploaded a draft PDF document together with a set of UML class diagrams to Tuscany wiki @ http://wiki.apache.org/ws/Tuscany/ TuscanyJava/SandboxCore.

Please note these documents are work in progress and not guaranteed to be accurate and complete. They are produced based on my understanding of the new core code developed by Jim and Jeremy in the sandbox. It's subject to review and revision. I hope it will be hopeful for you to understand the code.

Thanks,
Raymond
