As a gentle reminder, please can we have discussions on this mailing list rather than in JIRA. I know it's tempting just to comment on the issue but that locks up the discussion inside the bug tracking system rather than getting it into the open. Preferred practice is to have the discussion on the list and update JIRA with the conclusion.
