This thread started with an intention to do a post-mortem on M1. Is there
something we can learn from and improve on for subsequent releases?

Which if you unzip in the binary distro has poms and a shell and bat
file that issue maven commands to add to your local repo.
Once again I ran them and they said build successful.. but that's all I
did.
