I spent a few hours on a plane refactoring the web app launching and
getting Spring composites to boostrap in a web application. I haven't
had a chance to get to multiparent classloading but it should now be
possible to develop basic web apps with embedded Tuscany. It should
also be possible to have Spring composites wired remotely and
deployed inside a web container if someone wants to do that. There is
now a start of a Spring sample suite that will show some of this with
Celtix as the wiring (currently it just boots a Spring composite in a
web app without much else).
As part of making Tuscany bootable inside a web app, I had to remove
the temporary "hack" that introduced dependencies in the webapp
projects on SDO and Axis as leaving them in would propagate
dependencies throughout the sample base. For projects which depend on
SDO and/or Axis, they will need to either have maven handle the
dependencies or "manually" add these in as their wars are built/
deployed (basically just a change in the system SCDL to include the
SDO and Axis extension SCDLs).
Tomorrow I plan to do some more checkins so we can plug in Raymond's
databinding framework so the problems that led to these hacks can be
resolved.
