Kelvin Goodson updated TUSCANY-751:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: sdouml.zip
This may not yet be complete, but how about this as an alternative to the UML?
I worry that the current UML is a little inaccessible to a reader trying to
gain an introduction to SDO. I also think we could do with some more words
around the other pictures in the overview page, and perhaps splitting that page
up so that the UML is linked.
> Update SDO overview of Tuscany site
> -----------------------------------
>
> Key: TUSCANY-751
> URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TUSCANY-751
> Project: Tuscany
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Website
> Reporter: Yang ZHONG
> Attachments: ChangeSummary.gif, DataObject.gif, NewSdoOverview.zip,
> overview.gif, property.gif, sdouml.zip, type.gif
>
>
> The overview says "SDO simplify and unify ... SDO is language neutral. SDO is
> being implemented ... SDO PHP ... SDO can be used ... SDO is a natural format
> for representing data on the wire in an SOA environment."
>
> With new comer hat on, I still don't know what SDO is briefly.
>
> How about a brief description right after "SDO is a natural format ..."
> with a structural diagram clickable towards brief DataObject, Type, Property
> and ChangeSummary description?
>
> SCA overview has demonstrated such a good example.
> Thank Andrew for the support
> and thank Kelvin and Geoff for the text contribution.
