This was discussed some time ago but I can't find if there was an

should Spring be included in the M2 release?
The outcome was that it would be put in contrib. Hence Jeremy
included it.
Right now I don't think the spring container works properly,
This is stretching it...the Spring container works properly, albeit
there are a few issues outstanding with temporary fixes concerning
the integration of ApplicationContext which we need to bring up with
the Spring developers. For example, wiring from Spring Singleton
beans that are eagerly initialized to SCA references .
for example, it
doesn't have a default.scdl file so it wont work with the standalone
launcher,
Right now, it is designed to be used within a web app, although
adding a default SCDL would be trivial since it can be copied from
the spring.system.scdl already included. Care to help out and do it?
and we don't have any spring samples in the m2 branch.
As part of contrib I don't think we need the samples, although they
certainly could be added in.
Does
anyone plan to fix this up, was it intended spring would be in the M2
branch?
I believe Ken had a fixes outstanding before his machine crashed. Ken
do you have time to look into this or did you recover any of the fixes?
