Skimmed it once (I'm still painting :-( ) but one thing jumped out
about the type system. In the contribution service I'm using RFC2045
Content-Type (aka IANA Media-Type) as the String describing the type
of the contribution as that is often available if the content is
being fetched over the web - would that be suitable for use as the
type here?
We may need to define our own for some things that are not
standardized yet.
