Thanks for all the replies. To be consistent with Sebasiten's proposal for
source tree structure, I'll check it in under sca/modules/core.

I took a quick look at what you have in your sandbox and looks good to
me. As mentioned by Sebastien, it's going to be very useful and help on
getting a modularized kernel in place. So go ahead and bring this to
