A big part of this release is to get to stable API and SPIs that users can depend on, so it wont look good if we go and rename the SPI package right after we cut the release. We also can't easily deprecate the old package name so either we stick with org.apache.tuscany for ever or we rename it before this release.
I think its not right to be org.apache.tuscany and it should be renamed to org.apache.tuscany.sca, but if everyone else is fine with staying with org.apache.tuscany then I guess thats the easiest solution :) If we do rename it I'd like to get it done sooner rather than wait right up to just before we release so we've a bit of time to catch anything that breaks and to spot anything like javadoc or comments that get missed. Is it really going to be so disruptive? Hopefully most big changes will be in soon if we're planning to cut an RC in not so many days? ...ant On 5/1/07, Luciano Resende <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
