Do domain-level wires work with binding.ws?

Can I now do this:

<reference name="vegetableCatalog"
  target="CloudVegetableCatalogService">
  <binding.ws/>
</reference>
and get the WS binding configured automatically from the target like it 
has been working with <binding.sca>?
