The Open SOA collaboration has issued a clarification of the licenses which apply to artifacts such as XSDs and Java files relating to the SCA specifications and the SDO specifications.

There has been discussion of the form of the licenses between the Open SOA collaboration and the Apache Tuscany and the Eclipse STP open source groups, since the licenses appeared to place restrictions on how the open source groups could use the artifacts.

The license text has now been clarified to make it clear that the artifacts may be reused freely, with only the copyright and attribution requirements which are typically required by specifications and standards.
