You might need to give us a clue here. What kind of problem? What kind of data? What kind of storage? - for how long? how quickly retrieved? And if its a homework exercise, which it looks like it might be, how far have you got yourself? What have you tried to do to find the answer - actually thats a good thing to tell us even if its not homework! Personally for long lived data I tend to use a filing cabinet...
