You can't mix them within a Frame but provided you are operating in different frames you can (and should!) choose whichever is most appropriate for that Frame's structure. Othewise you get into the trap of forcing everything to look like a grid or everything like a stack. (The "When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail" syndrome).
