FYI: I use Netbeans as my IDE and encountered an error that took some time to resolve, as follows: A java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError exception has occurred the resolution can be found here if you run into it: http://forums.netbeans.org/post-38386.html it seems to have been an issue with mac OS X : java 10.5 update 6. with that fixed I'll be able to try these options out..
