It is not quite the same, but there are debuggers (not sure about for Python) that will let you change the *in memory* value of cc on the fly. Of course, any code change will still not work. Eclipse's Java debugger will let you do small changes "on the fly" while paused; it will restart from the beginning of the function, but more often than not it will say "could not replace" because the criteria that is allowed for "on the fly" changes is *very* narrow.
