Both emacs and vim are installed already on Mac OS X but in text only versions, no GUI. I have never used Komodo or Text Wrangler, or any other GUI editor for that matter so I cannot comment on how good they are. I tend to spend about 90% of my time using the command-line on my Mac, but that's just my preference.
