Historically, the unix tool for comparing the differences between two files is called 'diff'. Python has similar functionality in a library called 'difflib'. See http://docs.python.org/3/library/difflib.html The Wikipedia article may provide some useful search terms too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diff Does that help any? -- Jerry _______________________________________________ Tutor maillist - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change subscription options: http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/tutor
