Please repost giving us:
1) The Python version you use
2) The OS you use
3) Any previous programming experience in other languages
4) What the input data looks like
- what do you mean by value "next to" certain text?
- What kind of text? What kind of value?
- Is the data in a standard format such as CSV or XML or HTML?
Armed with that information we can start to make suggestions.
