What kinds of problems you've already solved that might be similar to the one you're stuck on? What parts of the program actually do work as you expect? And what parts do not? Do you have any guesses as to what you're confused about? A large part of learning to program has nothing to do with syntax: it has to do with learning strategies for solving problems.
