The Electronic Frontier Foundation is coming to speak at my LUG tonight, so I wandered around downtown Davis a little yesterday, posting flyers at different venues.
I decided to print a couple of Tux Paint ones - mostly with the thought of getting one put up at a children's book store (who I noticed had lots of various flyers). Anyway, thanks to a Kinko's being down town (which I went to /twice/), I ended up putting out about twice as many Tux Paint flyers out than EFF ones. ;^) I hit a local candy store, who seemed pretty interested in the idea of free kid's software... a couple of Jamba Juice smoothie places... some locally-owned toy stores... and some of my typical flyer haunts (cafes and book stores). :^) I also contacted the local Waldorf school, to encourage them to try out Tux Paint. I plan on contacting some of the other local schools, and maybe preschools/nurseries. Comments? Has anyone else done similar in your area? -bill! -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Got kids?
