I put a short little survey on the Tux Paint download page the other day:
http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/tuxpaint/
I've been noticing a lot of response from people in Italy.
(Okay, well, I've seen barely ANY response, but I keep noticing people
saying they're in Italy, so it seems like a LOT!)
Anyway, I grep'd my Apache logs for any Italian ("*.it" domain) referers,
and found only a few, and not so many hits.
But when I counted the number of unique Italian VISITORs, I saw over
12,000 hits from over 300 unique clients in the last month's worth of logs.
I tried comparing that to Japanese visitors ("*.jp" domain), and found
only 4200 hits from about 200 unique clients.
For Spanish ("*.es"), only about 1100 hits from about 85 clients.
I tried looking up all referrers (ANY top level domain, not just "*.it")
for hits from Italian domains, but the most I found (other than direct
hits; e.g., blank referrer) was from GNUWin:
